Default how many are using .42 ar t3?

well im kinda in a delema, i used to have a .63 ar t3 to4e

but i find alot of people sell more 4 bolt downpipes so i wanna know who is using a .42 ar t3, i find that they are tiny i used one for 5 hours...it was just like full boost at partial throttle at 2k full boost for me was 6psi

why getting a turbo that small? stay with at least .48 up

Actually even 0.63 is a bit small unless you're never building the motor. I use 0.82 minimum.

.63 is small wat? i had to use slim line fans to fit it...it beat 350z easy on 6psi...but anyways


heres the specs of the the turbo im looking at

.42 cold a/r • .48 Hot • 2" OUTLET • Great Turbo for 1.6L to 1.8L engines • Spools on a 1.7 @2700 • TURBINE WHEEL: EXDUCER: 1.81", MAYOR : 2.48" • COMPRESSOR WHEEL: EXDUCER: 1.67", MAYOR : 2.36"

yeah its too small for our motor.. we have a 2.4 lol.. you're out of the efficiency range.. i can imagine the back pressure and egts on that.. you can make it work though but you will be shy of power on higher rpms

lol yea when i had that .42 ar i was running my friend and after i shifter to third gear at the top of it he started oulling on me then i shifted to fourth and the shaft broke at the exhaust housing....must have been too high egts for it

a .48 ar turbine (backhousing) and .70 ar compressor is what i got and the smaller the back housing the more torque you get and the bigger the compressor the more hp you have (top end). is what i have been told. i love m combo
