Default How Much WHP? (S/C)

How much WHP are you guys pushing with the superchargers that have Blow off valves? I heard that there is a gain in power as opposed to getting a BPV, so I wanted to see how great of a power loss we are talking about.

no man dont do it, there is no power to be gotten, you already dont have alot of power so losing power is a big deal.

Kikcaffine wasn't bashing the guy, he's just stating that the supercharger doesn't offer MASSIVE power gains, im sure Kikcaffine has has alot of experience with the SuperCharger and BOV and BPV's.. just take kikcaffine's advice as it comes.

Im not sure who told you that but with the s/c setup you only want a bpv so your sensor can read the air correctly. We have gone over this 101 times and its proven that if you love the bov sound you can do a 50/50 bpv/bov and get it regulated so it blows off like 30% but thats just so you can have cool points. But - for your cars sake .... only put a bpv so the ecu doesnt flip out

or you can go for a ricirculating bov. get the psshhh and not give off too much pressure as if you were to go with straight to atmosphere bov.

Getting a bov with a rec fitting would deffinitly be in your best interest, I went from the bosch 110 bpv to a 50/50 hybrid. The bov held the boost much better than the bosch bpv did, a hks ssqv with a rec fitting is a good option also.

^ its not a question of if it holds boost - its of the sensor reading the correct air reading

Thats why I went 50/50 ran fine, if I ran full open I would have a problem.

^ yup - 50% is the very max anybody should be running - ide tell someone to run 30% if they "really had to have a bov sound"

i got my gofastbits hybrid from someone on here and i just put it in without adjusting since it came of another tc and worked just fine closed when touched the pedal and released when i let off the pedal and never ha d aproblem? except when i dynoed m car i got 207 whp with 9.5 pulley so i might try to lower that to what jswagg said to 30% see if that helps anything? actually i got a question of my own how would you know that you have 30% going to the atmosphere and the rest back to the intake! cause i wanna do that!!!

^ you will have to go by sound. Redline it in 2nd gear and let off 100% instead of switching gears into 3rd. Listen to how much blows off. Also - You can open it all the way and count the turns back - then open it back 1/2 the amount of turns. If its 10 turns then you know you would want to open it 3 times.

Try with that kind of logic and let me know. Ide try to get it open 1/2 way then listen to the blow off so you can get that that 1/3rd open mark
