Default How to re-flash the ecm back to factory after removing s/c

Just recently l was checking out a thread l visit often and noticed a fellow Tc owner was trying to get the factory ecm settings after removing his s/c. He had called TRD and they told him he must buy a new ecm Furthermore, if you don't hook up with a good tech at a Scion dealership they will tell you the same thing! l think a new ecm for our cars is going for $690 or something Well that's bull crap, they say it can't be done but little do they know!! There is a back door..

So here is what you must do..

At the dealership there is a program for the technicians called TIS2 and through TIS2 the tech has to clik on "calibration" from the home page.

The next step is to hook up a "non" s/c Tc to TIS so it can re-flash the ecm. (So basically you are tricking TIS.) (The non s/c Tc must be the same production year as the one you are trying to re-flash.) The tech must click on the factory flash to upload to the vehicle. It's a no brainer! You will see a choice for TRD supercharger and then P00003 and p000813a for example. So click download then stop the download.........

Now connect your car (the Tc with the s/c flash on the ecm) and let it download the n/a settings and it will tell you what to do every step of the way.

And that's it!

I would try to get the dealer to waive any cost to do this if of course you had the s/c installed there. If not, l think 30-40 bucks is fair for labor time.

Good luck to you all, and if anyone has a nice s/c that has all the factory stuff l may be interested in the near future.

P.S. Don't smoke crack!
