Default how to stop wheel hopping when you have partial slicks

What are some easy ways to reduce wheel hop .... i was just highway cruising and I decided to put my turbo to the test and i slowed her down to 2nd and took off hard and she wheel hopped all the way through 4th gear ... and im trying to figure out why im wheel hopping hard on the left side ...

ideas or suggestions? ...she stops hopping after i hit boost then it just hooks hard

throttle control...don't just floor it.

How much boost are you running? Lok into a 2 stage boost controller so you don't have to worry about throttle control.

^^what if you cant tune partial throttle i.e. greddy emanage basic and have to floor it?

Boost control.....something simple like the Turbo XS dual stage....you can either have it triggered by a button on your steering wheel or eletronically.

When using a dual stage depending on the boost levels used...you will be to re-tune.

Plus there are other factors...

What size wheels

Size and condition of tires

Suspension....spring rate

Camber and caster

Lots of variables when trying to diagnose wheel hop.

i have 19 x 7.5 inch rims with some thin federal tires. tires are new. i have h tech drop springs, not sure on the camber its off though fo sho.

You won't to eliminate 85% of wheel hopping, you approach it with the simplest solution.....you buy an Ingals ETD (engine torque dampner). All these other suggestions wouldn't even be close to being my first answer to eliminating wheel hop.....lol.

^^^ agree ingalls etd does help^^^ but bigger wheels + tires will help as welll coz you will catch more traction

Ingalls ETD or motor mounts.

Consider good coilovers like Progress (which were designed with eliminating wheel hop in mind).

Check tire pressure too. Many times adjusting the pressure will net a different behavior in your lauch.

If you want partial throttle fuel control without making a big investment, I have one pre-tuned Dezod Black Box left in stock. All you do is plug in four wires, no calibrating needed.

doesnt Todd have some engine mounts coming out soon? i think you can pick the hardness of the urethane as well

CURIOUS...what is the Black Box that u guys over at Dezod sell? I've heard of it but dunno exactly what it is or all its uses

I have very little wheel hop...TRD suspension setup with Ingalls ETD and 17x8 LW OZ wheels and slightly fatter tire from stock...getting lsd soon so that should help a bit too.

Our black modifies stock o2 sensor signals giving you full control over partial throttle fuel maps. This is the perfect solution for GReddy emanage blue owners who don't want to shell out 4-600 to shift to a more expensive system.

It keeps your afrs from the 13s (low low psi) to as rich as the 11s as you approach 8+ psi. The box I have is pretuned and requires no setup. Simply attach power, ground, rpm signal, o2 signal, and a vacuum source. It does the rest on its own!
