Default i have an idea... it just might work hheheh

i understand that the TRD supercharger uses something that tunes the factory ecu.. called "reflash" or something..

i was woundering if this certin "thing" can be used with turbos too..
hmm

what do you think guys?
does anyone know what exactly is it? some kind of computer software and a harness? or what is it??

<<< want's to try it on his stage 0 kit

the ecu reflash is only for the supercharger, for turbo you can get a emanage, or unichip, or a few other ones

i know i know..
i'm willing to try it on my car and tell you guys what i got..

i just wanna know how i can do this reflash thing..

surly it'll work with a turbo.. i bet it increases the ecu standard A/F ratio and somewhat inhibit the knock sensor a little... something like that

it gotta be something like that.. what else would it affect?!

First, you suck at English.

Second, yes I could see it being better than the factory tune, but not something I would recommend. The reflash is a conservative basemap for the TRD SC. It is like if you bought an emanage and used a tune from someone like turbonetics for your kit.

Its been done as far as i know, the guy who did it used a Greddy kit and the 440cc injector he could only run 5 PSI on the reflash.

there is some things about the TRD S/C and reflash i don't understand, the S/C comes with a "module" box thingy...whats it for? is this what holds the reflash?
they say the reflash is permanent BUT when you remove the S/C you obviously remove the "module" does the reflash still functions with out it?
IF the reflash is on the ECU itself what is the "module" for?

I have a different idea oldred thats just as crazy PM me for it if you wanna talk scifi

since tuning is the most important part of forced induction. i would say that this is a very bad idea

the module on the S/C is probly some way for it to modify the ECU because as far as i know its tamper proof.

and as for using the TRD S/C reflash maps for a turbo.
those maps are specific for the S/C, and considering that most turbo kits come with a piggy back, it looks like its just a waste of time. and even if you did do it you wouldnt be getting the full potential of your turbo so you might as well just go S/C

I heard ZPI had the reflash on one of their cars (or maybe a customers) with the stage0 and heard it ran like crap. We were just talking about it at a meet the other day. I wouldn't do it.
