1andonly,

I see that you're using the F/IC. That's a good start. The Unichip doesn't work on the '07-'09.

You need to find out what that CEL code is - if it's P0420 then that means either you didn't install the little O2 extender on the S-pipe, or it's not on correctly.

Did you install the extender on the top O2 bung accidentally?

Your idle at 650rpm is okay. That's not a problem. How much vacuum are you pulling at idle? I'm at -24 with a 2006 and T'netics kit also.

Please find out more info - we'll try and help.

millenium didnt give me any codes but when i went to toyota they told me that these three codes popped up. p0031, p0302, and p2237. i had toyota do a compression test and they said that there is no misfire, but the sensor before the cat was bad. i know have the car in san diego and can not find any tuners. my car is starting to idle really low now too. to the point where it seems like it wants to turn off. any suggestions.

I'm not sure how Toyota got all that with a compression test... and they didn't even tell you what your compression is in each cylinder.

I don't really think they did a compression test at all. It seems like all they did was run a diagnostics. It could be possible that the main O2 sensor is bad - you should probably get it replaced anyways. I'll research the other codes a bit when I get off work.

Just for comparison reasons: I idle at -20 on a 2006 with the Turbonetics kit.

P0031 - HO2S Heater Control Circuit Low (Bank 1 Sensor 1)
I'm not sure why you'd have this one... ever have any issues with your heater?

P0302 - Cylinder 2 Misfire Detected
You DID misfire at some point.. perhaps you're not anymore and you just haven't cleared the code.. This is one to watch out for though. A code similar to this one happened to me when my injector harness wasn't soldered on properly.

P2237 - L.O2s Pump. Circuit - Open (B1/S1) This one varies per car manufacture I think.. but they all point back to the O2.

I would definitely replace your O2 sensor.. check out this link: https://www.scionlife.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=240821

Get your other codes cleared.. and recheck them if/when your check engine light comes back on.

the first code is for the o2 sensor not the cars heater.. o2 sensors are heated on a cold start to give off accurate readings!

Sounds like u may have a bad wire harness on the 02 sensor or on the fic, or a really bad tune.. did u run two step colder plugs as well?

OMG. I had a big brain fart there.

Sorry guys. Yes that first code is clearly O2 sensor.

Heres my take on all this after sitting here racking my brain.

If cylinder 2 is misfiring, it leads me to believe there is something up with that cylinder. Whether that be a problem with the injector, or the plug or whatnot. If that cylinder is indeed misfiring, the fuel charge would not ignite, correct?
If the fuel charge in that cylinder is not burning its charge that excess fuel would be expelled into the exhaust (and would also cause the aforementioned idle issue), which in turn would have to pass the 02 which is throwing codes, could this be the problem?

(now that I've thought about it, if this were the case, it would probably throw a running rich code)

Dang it.
