Gap, stock out of the box will be .044. I think it's a little much for a T-tC, so I would size it down to a .026-.036. Somewhere in that range.

I think I know what happened.

The cheaper coupling got so hot (it was 105 here in San Diego on Sunday) that it slipped off since it was too big to begin with.

I drove it like that for about a mile and probably caused too much gas and not enough air to the engine. This caused the plugs to get too much fuel and foul out.

Either way...I am done =/

So it all runs great now? Did you still want me to send you the coupler? Haven't heard from you since we talked about the possible fixes.

I knew it was the coupler...

Way back when, we didn't tighten down a coupler on my old Stage 0, and I had the same problems. Looked at it, saw that it came lose, tightened it down, and all was good.

Yeah couplers are a common issue. I brought this up when Paul and I spoke a few days ago.

Lol, Paul, you, me, and Jason have been through a lot sir. I think we've all come to the F&*$ MY SCION point at one time lol.

But I'm gonna hang in there! Non-suspecting stupid fast grocery getter FTW! :p

man after reading all that it makes me want too check my pipings cause i was having the same problem after i got tuned at church. it would start and then die. mightygnu met up with me that day and i believe shawn activated some anti stall software or soemthing on the emanage and that was what cause my car too die after i started it. it would hold idle after i warmed up ther car, but if i cold started it when it was cold it would die right away. i think i might pull my bumper off tomorrow and check my pipes even though ive been driving it for like 2500+ miles since then. when i go back too get it retuned hopefully this week im going too ask shawn too disable that feature and see if it makes a difference. too bad u already took everything back too stock or else u could of had that checke, but then u would have too get ur car some how all the way back too long beach. wow long post time for bed

I hope it wasn't his fault. But it all happened the day after I tuned with him when I ran it fine with Joe's map on the car for a week

It wasn't that it was a small issue or a big one Alex...it is just that over the last few months things have been compounding together and this stupid, hopefully small, issue just pushed me over my limit of patience.

I have been so patient with this whole process that I am simply losing time and money now. It is honestly easier for me to move on than to stick around. I would now rather have a car that I can buy, drive with stock, have a warranty and be happy with it.
