Im glad zpi decided to step it up and use the MHI's now ...I remember in the past they were using those junk GT's...some people they will run 70K on, some people will be blowing seals after 5k, very unreliable quirky turbo.

see thats the problem, some people will get good lifespan out of it, but others arent so fortunate. The turbo is the most important thing along with the manifold, id opt to spend the extra dough on an OEM turbo than a china built knockoff turbo

ID 10 T Alert! My 16G would run Circles around that T3/T4 you got.
I own a BC 06 tC, but it is my wife's DD, and is an auto. It is not yet turbo'd. We have only had the car for 2 months.

That is correct. Kenny and the gang are designing and fabricating the manifold in house.

looks like alot of uncalled for piping in that mani. dont like the placement. and who welded that v-band flange on the turbine housing. should have gone this route if they wanted v-band. doesnt look that great in my opinion.

I can only imagine what the comments would be if this was coming out of any other place other than ZPI.

Perhaps you guys should design my manifold for me, I'm open to designs and fabrication. I will test out your manifold designs, along with dyno's for anyone that is interested and feel they can fabricate an EL for me to take me to that next level.

it looks like it is made out of aluminum piping from a diy exhaust kit. im gonna give it its due process though. lets see how well it works, and for howw long.

What do you want Travis?

Keep in mind there is not much to work with than whats is already out there, as far as design goes.

My comment has nothing to do with ZPI, I would have made the comment towards any company that would make such a manifold.

It was designed the way it was from a purely "fitment" standpoint and not a performance one......everything they gained from that collector they took away from it with that extension pipe.

Granted its a turbo application, throw forced air at anything and it will work.

Todd

^^my comment was to merely state that I would not expect anything less than what was already said. the car is not even completed yet. if it gets to the track, and performs like crap, then there would not be room to talk.

You design, and then you test. If design does not meet standards, a new design would be put into place.

This is the first attempt at creating an EL manifold for the tC. How many revisions are they allowed to have? None? Guess they should get it right the first time cause it's ZPI.
