Default Injector Question: Opinions Needed

If most tC turbo applications run just fine on 550cc injectors or less, then WHY does the Turbonetics system come with 630cc injectors?

Could this be why my car is belching black smoke at 1/4 throttle and bucking like someone is pouring raw fuel down it's throat??

Any other time it runs fine.

im just guessing because i really don't know but maybe the larger injectors are just extra protection making the kit dump more fuel than what is wanted in order to stop detonation. just a guess

Well, it's making the car really erratic at partial throttle/cruise speeds. Plus the over-rich condition can't be good for the engine.

I can see this is going to be quite a headache!

it doesn't matter what size the injectors are. if you unplug whatever management system you have and stay out of boost your car should be running off of the factory ecu with o2 sensor monitering everything and should be totally fine.

that is until you get to ~1000cc injectors

Guess I'm gonna ____-can the Unichip and go with a better, more easily tuned setup. I'll start researching that today. In the meantime, I'd be happy to take suggestions!

Thanks for all your help on this.
