Default installing a oil pressure gauge

I have done a lot of research on how to install an oil pressure gauge, but when I finished installing mine today, the gauge was not giving me a reading. this is how i have it hooked up. if something sounds wrong please let me know. I have a T into the block and off of that i have the oil sensor that came with the gauge and on the other side of that is the stock oil sensor.

is it electric or macanical.... bc macanical is much more accurate. if its macanical sometimes the neopreane hose gets kinked just a little bit and you wont get a reading... go get a copper hose at any local auto store .. they work 5x beter.. if its an electric make sure the wires are not crimped but suttered to the stock oil press sensor... its fool proof.

If it's an auto meter and has a HUGE brass sender it's a mechanical sender. call autometer or email them and tell them your sender is broken they should send you a smal solid state sender for free.

its not a big brass sender, those are the ones i've been seeing everywhere. mine is a small silver sender. its about the same size as the stock sensor.

so don't you have a T... did you sauder the wires or crimp the.... bc crimping is no good... it should just be a T and than straight to the gauge... did you try and get a reading under the hood... I mean like take the gauge let the car run and read it right next to the sensor

brando what brand do you have? I have a SAGA, mines is also a small silver sender, and they f*ck!ng suck! i changed my sender twice already and its not reading still. i also have a T connected to the sender-->wire that you just clip on-->then gauge. Im guessing its because of the heat under the hood, it gets too hot. but for a $250 gauge it better work, its sh*t.

Dont buy SAGA brands!!
