That' funny, I thought the crash bar looked a little funny besides the holes in teh front, but then I noticed the bottom corners cut out on each side. I like that! I need to reroute mine like that!

We actually drilled holes down through the top of the bar:

I am not a fan of cutting the bumper thats why I cut the crash bar. It was not that hard I just put it on a chop saw with a metal cutting blade.

rstc2051 I like how you blacked out your intercooler, i was thinking of doing the same thing.
does it lower its efficiency any?

No just use some Header paint it disperses heat just as well. I had the air so cold coming in to the moter it would have some condinsation on the out side of the pipe.So the paint wont effect it.

Ok I got the crash bar cut and intercooler is installed. It took a while with the air saw and another jig saw. Now Im stuck on the ic piping. It looks like im going to need more pieces so im bout to buy my second universal kit. but I needed to know what size couplers to buy for the throttle body and the stock airbox.

stock air box?
is this intercooler for a supercharger?

I think both the TB and the stock box use 2.5

No its for my custom turbo setup. I have an 07 and could not find a maf mount so for now im using the stock air box. Then when I get a lot of logged runs on the ultimate im taking the stock airbox and maf out.
I hope it is 2.5 bc my intercooler piping kit is 2.5. thanks!

I wouldn't use the stock air box .when I did mine I had the air filter on to tight and it was not getting as much air as it should . I think that the stock air box wont flow enough air. Lack of air caused my car to miss out on 100whp and I have the dyno to prove it but good luck with that.

can't take out your MAF sensor... even if you were running a standalone ems.... get an intake pipe.... ATP turbo has one.... www.atpturbo.com

Uhmm...yes you can...the AEM standalone gives the option of tossing the MAF and going
speed density...or is it MAP?

Its my under standing that even with the AEM EMS the MAF sensor still has to be in place....yes your now tuning using Manifold absolute pressure, but I thought for getting around the Drive-by-wire the MAF is needed...

With AEM's and Hydra no MAF at all. I've been running without one all summer.

even u said it was a "standalone".... I dont wanna back off on this... where did I read ( or did I hear it from Paul's mouth?? ) that you stil have to use the MAF sensor with the AEM EMS...Hydra may do it differently...I think I'm going with Hydra myself soon( was gonna go AEM)
