Default Jessicas comp 67mm goes back to dyno sunday!! Details inside!

Well, we go back to big dyno day show sunday the 25th of october, I am not sure If I will absolutley drain the car out or not. I broke 4th gear in the car monday night trying the new setup on 30 psi and a 50 shot. It broke a 1/4 of the gear in half and in turn completley demolished everything else! I had the AEM output configured to activate nitrous at 3500 RPM, I think that was a little too soon( though I will try it again to be sure ) and this put an instant burst of ramped 675-750WHP at once on the input shaft 4th gear, and snapped side of the gear in half along with destroying the rest of the tranny.

I have BUSTED butt all week to get this car done, I got the tranny out tuesday eve, worked some magic ( I just cant tell this one.. HAHA.. theres def. VERY good reason for it.. VERY GOOD) and got a brand new e350 tranny. I was planning on reusing the old TRD LSD Diff, but when I tore the old tranny down, I assumed there may be metal inside, and didnt have time to inspect it for now. I then ordered an OS giken LSD from Dezod to try it and compare. I will aslo be able to have a tranny on standby now with another LSD(TRD UNIT). To make a VERY long story short: Well I split the cases on the tranny, pulled the shafts, Installed the New LSD and bearings. Got it all back together earlier today just in time.

THE only PROBLEM now is the shafts are going to HAVE to be heat cycled a few times and broken in before I throw 30 psi and a 50-75 shot at it! I dont know if I have enough time for this, but I may try it and do the best I can with break in prep.

I already have 2 used tranny out of 07 TC's one with 15k and one with 10k, I purchased very cheap.. I managed to find another TRD lsd for a good deal and will have 2 trannys ready! I assembled the tranny dis-assembled the e350 4-5 times now and covered all of TIS to get it down pat, the hardest part! DONT LET THE -5TH gear syncro pack fly apart! I had to put it together twice! There is a little trick to removing it..

I am going to do a DIY on LSD install for a tc on a trans in a few days for you guys. I think it will help the community, and as long as your a bit mechanically inclined.. I do ALOT of motor builds and tuning, ALOT.. but a transmission is something I have only tiped around with, figured I might as well do it, and get it down, Mike aka Elevation TC encouraged me It wouldnt be so bad.. .. Now Im glad I broke in the tranny world as well.. I must say, the Honda d16 trannys Ive done before are a little easier..

But wanted to let you guys know, dyno on sunday, #'s that night HOPEFULLY, if theres nothing strange occuring(On High HP cars anything can and WILL happen at some point.) and all feels ok. Tune is good for the nitrous, new fuel system is installed, and aem ems tune is OK.. Gonna configure a few more saftey breakdowns for the nitrous output and will be done. Hopefully I can get 12-15 heat cycles in on this thing before sunday.

Gilken or Quaife/TRD Mike? Remember, drivability is more important for me Maybe I'll baby the clutch and order both at the same time.

"...direct port nitrous, stand-alone engine management, and a Motec system exhaust" Mike = Fast and Furious now!!! Too bad your car will always top out at 140, even with a 7 speed. hehe
