Maybe he can't shift? Maybe he has a lot of extra weight in his car?

It was really hot and humid this weekend too...

my times are in the car i will get them later, but im probobly around the same as him, wasnt launching just rolling out bc im on street tires and also running on my stock clutch which has 44,XXX k miles on it and 10k w my kit on but i was getting around the same numbers im pretty sure (and thanks crush bc the car ran pretty damn good down the track on that tune haha if your reading was kinda afraid to push it bc its not a pro tune but people were saying i would be fine so i took a chance and i got a lot of runs in with it) it was DEF one of the hottest days my car has seen, it had to be around 100 on the track if not more i will post up some of the numbers i have.

BTW, how is that 28RS treatin ya?
28RS is awsome. I did replace the kit though. Kept the turbo and intercooler though. Nothing against your kit, I just wanted something custom, with a blow thru, and an EL mani. 28RS spools like no other.

No offense taken! Custom is custom. Some people like the off-the-shelf look, fit, feel and performance, while others need/want custom. To each their own. We provide the building blocks for all.

I like using this thread - sooo i thought id just post it here I went out to the track again tonight and temperatures here in ok actually got down a bit Air temp was 81-83 with track temps in the high 80's - prob closer to 90 - but thats way better than you usually get on a summer night in oklahoma Oh and humidity still sucked So i got it down to a 14.45 at 98.9 mph :D Im proud of myself lol Im running bone stock auto tranny and street tires - hence my 60' is still 2.35 I really needa work on that Well next to come is mod valve body (possibly beefing up clutch plates in the tranny also) And some drag radials :D Plan to have that all done maybe by IFO in Nov at texas motorplex Boy wouldnt that be nice :D Ill try to get the slip up later but all i have is my camera phone and our tracks printer is a POS so its really faint. Also after the 14.45 I ran two more runs back to back at 14.52 and 14.50 Not bad consistency wise I beat an auto 07-09 Mustang GT (Ran a 14.6) and a auto 350z with i/h/e and chip (dunno what kinda chip, guy just told me it was "chipped" but his exhaust setup was really nice and sounded damn good he ran 14.55 on same run that i ran 14.45) My loss was to an SRT-4 with alot of ish done than ran a 12.7 Also for those that dont know - i think Thunder Valley here in OK has the WORST track prep of anywhere EVeryone i know's times tend to be higher here

Yep i do kno him - however - he lives in Altus - which is about 1.5 hr from me so i really only see him every couple weeks. As for the setup its a Cast treadstone manifold with a T3/T61, dezod fmic and piping with alot of modifications Im currently running on 8 psi (will sometimes see a spike to 8.5 ish). Ive street tuned (and track tuned) the car myself and its a fairly conservative tune. AT this point though its more of a tranny getting power to the ground issue than it is power itself All shifts suck and it slips bad right after the 1->2 shift. Im picking up a second tranny here in a few weeks and plan on doing the valve body and possibly adding additional clutch plates to the tranny at the same time. I do all my own work and have done everything from motor assembly to custom fab - tranny work though is one thing i wont touch As for just the valve body i know i can easily do that much but when it comes to full dissassembly and replacing clutch packs - ill leave that to someone else
