I'm no longed interested in drag racing, where a short throw is great for. You shift in one direction and for a short period of time. But if you are into road racing and time attack like I am now, where you shift often and in both directions for a greater period of time. Synchros seem to wear out a lot faster and sooner than a stock shift or one less aggressive than my TWM stg2 when it comes to RR/TA. I need to be an easy transition into gear when coming off a bank at 100+ MPH into a turn that's 180 degrees going back the opposite direction. The TWM stg2 is a lot more knotchy and a little more aggression is need to get into gear. Great for drag, not so much for track.

that is a really good find i don't see why you'd want to do it any other way. you can hook it up to the rpm wire to the stock tack or i think there is a way to hook it up to the ignition coil.

Mine is to the ECU wire, but you can get the tach signal off the gauge cluster.

any clue which wire that is? I did the black wire off the OBD2 port and its a bit slow so i had to decrease the rpm on the light. But other than that it works perfectly.

Would have to go out in the cold for that info. Don't remember off top of the dome. But I don't think it makes a difference, if you go by your own tac rather than the numbers on the back of the shift light. I just run it out and adjust the light to come on as I make multiple runs. Once you get it in the general shift area via the numbers on the back, fine tweak it by making a few passes and turn the **** +/- and adjust to your reaction time when you see the light and redline.
