L3g3nD K!LL3r is BACK in ACTION! (info page 8)
*edit*
Well guys, I have some very very bad news.
The L3g3nd K!LL3r is officially down for the count.
When I left this morning after I made my last post, I went out and started my car, ran normal then when I was leaving I shifted from 2nd to 3rd and a piece of charge piping blew out of the coupler... No biggie, fixed that in about 5 minutes.
Then my boy came in his MR because he wanted to go with me, well that is when all hell broke loose.
Soon after I started my car after the piping problem, the car began to run EXTREMELY rich. I was blowing black smoke out of the exhaust and it smelled horrible.
It was so bad, I could not even accelerate in 1st gear. Well after sitting on the side of the road for about 1 1/2 hours trying to adjust everything on the Ultimate to try to lean it out, I noticed blue smoke coming out of my glovebox. Well I believe either the Ultimate or the stock ECU is fried (haven't really come up with a conclusion for that but that is my guess as of right now)
I gave up and called a tow truck. Around 11am the tow truck finally came. We told the guy to just follow us in the MR to dYNO-COMP over in Scottsdale.
To see my car being put on a tow truck for the 2nd time in under 2 weeks, its a pretty disheartening feeling.
Well around 1130am we arrive at dYNO-COMP. I ask the tow guy how much it was and he said $145.20. I about crapped my pants. A 20 minute tow was almost $200. So I paid it in cash.
After that my tuner came out and looked at my car. We had already previously told him what was going on with it. So I popped the hood and started it for him.
Right away he told me to shut it off. I get out of the car and he says "Zach, I can not dyno tune you today." I go "Why is that?" He proceeds to show me my manifold and says "Bro, you have a HUGE exhaust leak at your manifold."
I glance down and TWO of my exhaust manifold studs were broken. My mouth instantly dropped. I couldn't believe my eyes.
So we PUSHED the car into the shop and sat in the office trying to decide what to do. He gave me two options.
Option 1:
Dyno tune the car with a horrible exhaust leak and just have it driveable and come back at a later time
or
Option 2:
Breakdown the setup and build the project back up again from scratch.
I sat there for 2 hours (watched Wedding Crashers and ate Jack in the Box) I sat there pondering over what I should do.
By now it is 230pm and I am 30 mins late for school. He comes back in from lunch and I tell him, "Rich, I want to re-do this project from scratch"
20 minutes later this is what my invoice looked like:
5 - exhaust manifold studs. Remove tC turbo assembly ($356.00)
1 - exhaust manifold gasket (free)
1 - Install custom wastegate dump tube ($89.00)
2WD Dyno Time ($180.00)
A/F, Boost, EGT, Mapping/Graphing, EMS Tuning ($67.50)
Total: $692.50
What I thought was going to be a $200 day turned out costing me: $837.70
When I left dYNO-COMP my tC was in pieces as like all the pictures I have been posting before. The front bumper was off, the charge piping was off, the Turbo/Turbine/Manifold/WG Assembly was off. It was a very depressing sight to see my project that I had worked so hard on sitting in that shop taken all back apart again because of TWO exhaust manifold studs from Toyota.
Rich has told me my new dyno date should be Monday or Tuesday.
Till then I am rideless again and another weekend of fun has been ruined.
But I want everyone to know...
The L3g3nd K!LL3r is in the best hands to be in right now. dYNO-COMP does amazing work and I totally trust these guys.
www.dynocomp.com - you can browse the shop, etc. I'm sure some of you have seen their STi in Modified and other magazines as well.
I WILL be back on the streets again

Should I be worried about that statement...
By the way, once I get a few more financial situations under my belt, I will be contacting you again for a race that you are due. I've hit a little tie-up right now
