I just got in
I was keeping pace with a 2006 STi I was about 1/2 length behind him, I could of passed him and went by easily but there was a car coming up in my lane...
You should of seen the look on his face AND his girl's face when I pulled up beside them after we got off the highway. They both couldnt believe a tC was keeping with them
And yes the STi was full throttle
BTW about 3 hours ago I decieded to check dynocomps work, well, it appears that I have broken the SAME exact exhaust manifold stud that they replaced 2 days ago
UGH!

Would this be the lady friend I saw a pic of? And what where the #'s on 8.5 PSI by the way.
So, if Tial had a 8.5 PSI spring in your WG, means you were trying to boost 11 PSI on an 8.5 spring...that sounds like a problem waiting to happen.
PS...glad to see it back on the road at least.

I thought Zach had a boost controller. Zach, do you have a boost controller?

nope. dont get me wrong, i love the 8.5 psi daily, but i wanted 11 psi daily, so im gonna work on that.
ill release numbers eventually on here for now i gotta get this stud fixed again... thanks dynocomp

From what I know 170-225psi is normal.
Perform the test with the engine running as well. Put the plugs back in except for one and go one cylinder at a time.
*edit*
Althought I just did the math for a 9.6:1 engine at 14.7 atmospheric pressure it came out to read 160.82 psi

Try performing the test while the engine is running (IDLE). Do it one cylinder at a time and check your readings as well.
A normal running engine will bounce the gauge between 50-60 psi.
Also be sure to perform a cylinder leakage test (aka CLT)
A good running engine will read less than 10%-15%
If the gauge is reading up to 30% your engine is more than likely not performing to your expectation.
*note* a CLT (cylinder leakage test) you will need shop air.

nah thats fine. as long as you rest the gauge, you should be ok.
also, that procedure while the engine is running and doing it one at a time is not a harmful procedure. i infact did it 4 times to my tC in lab, and i did it once to my buddy's old school VW Bug.
Just as long as you ground the COP you are ok
