Default Losing boost at 8psi

Just installed TRD s/c with NST 9.5 pulley, Weapon-R header and S pipe, and CEL elimators, and K&N drop in filter. When I am full throttle and hit about 8psi of boost the gauge drops to 0, and I loose all boost. I was not sure if the belt could be slipping or if the blow off valve can not take this high of pressure. Thanks.

Blowout valve? Maybe that's the issue. Not hooked up correctly or something like that.

Since the S/C makes boost through RPMS, either your losing belt tension, have some sort of boost leak, your boost gauge is wrong or some other mechanical issue to ne solved.

Possibly the BPV not working properly.....???????

Which BPV are you using? It sounds like you may possibly have a clogged cat.

I'm using the BOV that came with the kit, the vehicle only has 10k miles on it. I don't think there is an issue with the cat. If the belt was slipping wouldn't it make a loud squeeling noise?

Get a better one. The one you have cant hold the boost. Check out the Forge 007 or the TurboXs Type 25

I got mine at www.ecstuning.com. Fantastic customer service and a great price. I also got all of my Forge SPLT-Rs from them too.
