Default Low Impedance Injectors with stock ECU/FIC

Has anyone ran low imp injectors with the stock ecu and a FIC? From what I understand its possible with a resistor box? However how will driveablity be with this setup? Ive heard with low imp injectors throttle response can be adversly effected?

Looks like from the research ive done to run low imp ill need a 10ohm 10 watt resistor for each injector. However from the things ive read it seems the easiest way to go about this is to get an old resistor box from a honda, it appears they already have the 4 10 ohm resistors in a nice heatsink to help with heat dissapation. ANyone ran this setup on a stock ecu with fic?

Buy a Hydra and you dont have to worry about a resistor box. It has the capabilities to run peak and hold injectors with out worry. Why are you wanting to go with peak and hold injectors??? What size injector are you trying to run?

either 1000's or 1200's. I know Ptuning has saturated 1100's, however I think the price is a little on the high side at $540, when I can pick up some peak and hold (low imp) RC 1200's for $350 with pigtails.

Well the problem right off the bat with any injector above 650cc to 700cc that is saturated is flow and injector response times. Saturated injectors are very slow and will flow like utter crap at high cc rating (I have had experience with a few and they all suck). So that being said id go with the 1000cc peak and holds from RC I run these on my tC time attack car. more tune ability with peak and holds. Also why are you going to run such a large injector??

Our 1100cc injectors utilizes the latest and greatest in high impedance injector technology from bosch. These new injectors are far superior to most of the popular peak and hold injectors that are currently on the market in terms of response time, idle, flow with higher than normal base fuel pressure. A few years ago saturated injectors over 700cc were unheard off, but that has all changed.

This is a generalization of saturated injectors from a decade ago. The latest saturated injectors from bosch are heavily used in forced induction application, even most evo 8/9, especially those running E85 are removing their resistor box to run these injectors in 1100cc and 2100cc sizes. These same bosch injectors are what injector dynamics uses for their injector applications.

We'll be offering our 2100cc version of these injectors shortly, especially for high boosted applications with E85.

This was going by what I have researched in the past few months as well as researching through RC as well as other companies. But it might be different if the injector was meant to be that way from the get go and not deatchworks which are just punched out stock injectors that flow like utter crap. Personal preference peak and hold for the faster response time, oh did I mention that I dont need a resistor box to run peak and holds with my Hydra ;).

im running the ptuning 900cc, i think its very responsive for an injector its size.. one thing I notice though is that the latency specs on these seems pretty high, compare it to other injectors but really i dont think they are slow at all
