Not my fault you used your friend as an example, who clearly is doing things wrong. I don't even want to know what else he halfassed, especially considering he's not even running an AFR gauge.

Upset? Sorry but you're way off. You were the one who came in here to tell me that I was wrong when I said that the majority of problems are caused by user error. You then proceeded to use UnitXero as an example to back yourself up, when UnitXero doesn't even know what he's doing. The fact that he's not running an AFR gauge is proof that he doesn't know what he's doing.

How many posts ago did you say that you weren't going to respond anymore? I'd say that it seems like you're upset considering that you keep coming back.

i know this may be a stupid question, but i'm a noob -- do you have to have a manual tranny to install a turbo (particularly the ptuning one)?

No. They have auto kits, but the Auto trans doesn't exactly hold up well with boost. 240WHP is generally the limit.

ah ok. i should learn to drive a stick, lol.

edit: does that mean that auto's are better off with just superchargers since they dont hold up well with turbos and dont generally get above 240whp?

This tread is about a low maintenence turbo.
You can't really say how low maintenence a turbo kit is till you actually have it, install it, tune it, drive it, ya know?
Especially a kit like PTuning which isn't even released yet.

ANY aftermarket turbo kit, you are going to have some sort of issues with. Don't worry...you'll see...

Nooo, you're missing my point. The "PTuning!" thing is an inside joke lol.

And I don't have any problems with my kit. . The only thing that I can say is wrong with my car, is that my dumptube rattles against my S-Pipe/DP flange. No wheel hop issues, no stuttering, no stalling problems, no CEL, no hesitation, etc.
you never told me about the dumptube rattling
That's because I don't care about it lol.
info would have helped me to figure out whats going on and what i need to watch out for, its all good though bro. I decided to stop shipping them out anyways because of fitment issues

Right...but all that wasn't $3K, right? That's exactly what I'm saying...anytime someone says "I can buy a turbo kit for $3,500", I say double it and your good to go.

My 02 sensor went bad. Why? Bad tune led to fouled plugs let to to much fuel let to fried 02 sensor, with NO CEL!
yeah, an 02 sensor is only $150, but diagnosing the problem and then getting it solved was more like $400.
