Peak numbers dont mean nearly as much as power curve. Dynojets are great dyno's for producing bragging numbers and consistent results across a wide variety. A mustang dyno shows, what I like to call, "real world numbers". Basically, I can compare the mustang dyno results to what im going to see at the track and know where the car should be within reason.

If I had to put a number on it, I would say there is an 8-12 percent difference between the two dyno's, and even that is assuming that the mustang and dynojet are both setup and calibrated properly. A dyno is a wonderful tuning tool and should be used as such. Its a great way to mod your car and be able to tell EXACTLY how much of a difference your mods have made. Just make sure you continue to use the same dyno for your before and after numbers.

Case in point...my supercharged tC on the mustang dyno ran 180HP.

Dyno-Jet numbers average about 10% higher than mustang dyno...I have seen as high as 12%.

So Charles you use the Mustang Dyno at your shop correct? And that is were a a"certain shop''(your excompany) brings their vehicles to be dynoed at?

The Mustang Dyno will show less HP than the Dyno Jet or is it vise versa? I wanted to make sure I read this correct, so when i get my Dyno results back.

We have two mustang dyno's in house here that we use. I have always brought all the cars I have tuned here, and ZPI has brought several cars here as well but have recently been using a DynoJet facility across the river.

Generally a Mustang dyno will give lower numbers then a Dynojet.

It was a good try bro, keep up the good work.

The Dyno thread is a very good one, just alot to follow for a country bumpkin like myself. If it dosent talk about beer or 4x4's I loose intrest.

Well I just got off the phone with Kenny. Apparently the intercooler was a biscuit to install as it was just big enough to be a pain, lol. So how he described it to me is: The piping comes out of the s/c and down through the fender well where it mounts to the intercooler and comes straight back up into the throttle body. Also I now have a mini battery and mounted with it is the custom intake. I'm having trouble picturing it but Kenny said that it looks sick and that he himself has spent at least 15hrs getting the thing perfected. Needless to say I am anxious to get this thing back and check it out.

I'm going to call tomorrow and make sure the coupler came in. After I pick it up I might be swinging by turbocustomz shop to check it out and talk with him some more about the second phase of the project.

Also Toyomoto refunded my money tonight through paypal. I wish I could've used and worked with his AEM but I have no doubt that I will be running great with an emanage ultimate tuned by turbocustomz.
