McGeorge tried to punk me on the supercharger

You use the module that comes with the supercharger to install your fuel and timing maps. Then you hook up the car with ecm installed to the toyota scan tool and install a transmission control map. So to answer the question yes you use that map and you also use another map.

S/C install.
I hope this helps. We install the S/C for $450 for the Manual and $495 for the Auto. The module that comes with the S/C and the Special Tool for the reflash are necessary. If you have an Automatic, you need a 2nd flash upgrade that is done at the Dealer through the TIS machine that each dealer has. If you end up having it installed at a store that does not have the necessary tool, we do the reflash upgrades here all the time for $95.00. That includes the completed reflash and overnight, insured shipping back to the customer. Please let us know if you have any questions about the install and we'll be happy to help. The installation instructions are on our site in the upper right hand corner of the SuperCharger page.

That sucks dude. I'll have to keep that in mind. I was thinking of calling them for a quote on some parts installs but now I'm reconsidering. Good luck with that.
Oh and can I just say that Ken at TRD Sparks Rocks! He went the extra mile helping me with my sub install. You rock man!

Very true. And considering I had a supercharger installed an hour away from this dealer means you cant blame location on the price.
I am going to a show there this sunday. I will ask them about it.

in all fairness, i don't expect labor rates to be the same nationwide. They can't be. Tech's, real estate and other factors will set a labor rate. I DO expect gas prices to be the same...but that ain't happenin' anytime soon...
What bugs me is that TRD specifically states the # of hours for the install, and they tried to punk me be adding hours in order to "remove the engine." That is deceptive. And to do that to a customer is just wrong.
