Bummer...for the controller and the rain.

take this for what it is worth, and this goes for everyone, especially those with a log manifold....

Because you guys make so much torque down low in the powerband, traction becomes an issue, you will benefit from a dual stage controller.

Turn down the boost down low(1st stage) and at launch( say 5-7spi) get out of the hole and once you get to the top of second hit that button and switch to high boost.(2nd stage) your 60 fts will improve and so will your et's.

Just some friendly advice. I want to see you guys go as quick and fast as you can.

Have fun.

Todd

I would need a 5-7 PSI spring first.... Well, that and a dual controller...hehe. The setup when it's said and done, is to have an electronic one that has Launch capability. So, that I can set PSI based on what Gear I am in.

Brett's time slips:

Don't complain that it's too big... I'm tired of hearing that all the time ;D

Notice that that last run, Brett was almost a full 3 MPH faster at the 1/8th... Looks like someone lifted early... Probably would have been better run. Oh well, guess he has to go back again!

again the problem is my boost controller dont ever buy t-netics manual. same thing happened this time. i turn the boost up, and it stays at 15lbs. im just going to stop going until i can get an electronic unit. aj has one that he is willing to part with, but it might be a few weeks till i can afford it. also on the 12.81 run i did lift too soon thought i was across the line

It gives a description of the components of each engine as well as the estimated HP it will handle. Go to the engine package section.

Real quick...

Stock block - ok for low boost (6-7psi), but maybe not for long though.
Staged blocks... better components... lighter and stronger, also compression changes (lower the better for boost) - good for more boost and more power, also will last longer.
Short block = bottom of the motor (block, crank, rods and pistons)
Long block = short block + head

Hope that helps.

What boost controller are you looking at for that? I'm looking for a new boost controller to go with my new setup and that's an ability I'll need.
