Cool you wont find 2.75 piping around here. Mostly people are tuning 2.5.

you think 2.5 all the way around will be ok for 400's? What am i saying, of course it will be ok. I just hope my intercooler that came with the dezod kit will still do its job for now.

If I were you I would get a bigger one. Doesn't hurt to try and its not that expensive. Rather be safe then sorry.

Im gonna go ahead and try runing the intercooler i already have for now to save a little cash. if it proves that it just cant keep the heat in control from the new power then ill look into upgrading.

You need a scan gauge or something to see your IAT. If not you won't know the air temps going in.

well guys, just got off the phone with paul from dezod and got to say hes a pretty cool guy to talk to and is a very knowlegable guy. Best part is he took time out of his day off to spend about an hour on the phone talking to me about my build. Really good guy. Anyways after talking to him about my build, my plans have changed. Im no longer looking to build a 400whp+ tC this year. My plans now is to do a built block w/ sleeves and throw on my S1 kit again w/ a Garrett 57 trim turbo with .63a/r turbine housing and 3" exhaust within the next 2 months. Ill be running this setup for now and just save up some cash to jump right into around 500hp goals hopefully next year. So dont worry guys, high horsepower goals are still in the future just delayed now wich is probably for the best. Building a 400whp+ car on a budget just wouldnt be a great setup for long.

Why not just get the bigger turbo now and saves you money later on the road since you do hive plans on breaking 500's. Whatever you told me. Plus your sleeved to.

well originally i was gonna do a non-sleeved setup to save some money for other parts for my 400-500hp goals. But after talking to Paul, he made me a deal i couldnt refuse. So now im putting a sleeved block in the budget but now im short on cash for the rest of the setup so ill just be continuing to run my S1 kit and just save some cash. Then ill go all out and skip 400hp goals and go straight to 500hp goals on a sleeved block and standalone which i originally wasnt going to do. Still gonna do some upgrades for now though. New intercooler, piping, 3" exhaust, fuel return, etc. Basically stuff that will work well for me on 350hp and still support 500hp goals in the future.

Basically ima push the limits of the S1 kit for now till i can afford to do all the upgrades to safely support 500hp. This is still a build to watch cause ill be testing the limits of the S1 kit to see what it can do and i dont have to worry about pushing the limits of a stock motor since ill be built.

Ill be placing my order for my built block in about 2-3 weeks and should have it installed sometime around end of June begining July. Then ill be pushing the limits of the S1 by the end of July.

I would but like i said before, the only thing i dont wanna buy used is the turbo. I prefer a new one w/ warranty just in case over a used one.

Been busy with getting my custom exhaust made but here is a little update on what ive been up to.

Update:
-Bought a fully rebuilt head from a felow SL member. Now i dont have to worry about down time for machine work on my factory head i was planing on reusing. Just bolt on and go at this point.
-Mandrel 3" exhaust piping has been finished and sitting in my garage. just waiting to get to an exhaust shop hopefully next week to get everything welded together and then just install it.

Ill be posting more pics as soon as i get the new exhaust installed.

Another small update:

1.) Finally placed my order for my short block on Monday. Cant wait to get it and thanks again Paul for the great deal. You gave me one more good reason to go with a sleeved block rather than non-sleeved.
2.) Exhaust still hasnt been welded together. All the the mandrel bent pipes are sitting at my house still along with the CF muffler. Just havent had a chance to get to an exhaust shop yet.
