Default Modified Magazine - Project tC!! Update!

Hey guys,
Make sure you pick up the May 2006 copy of Modified Magazine! If you have been following their past issues you would know they are trying to build up a tC. So far they have added a Lip Kit, Fidanza Clutch and Lightweight FlyWheel, a Lightweight Pully and DC Header and in this issue the decide to install a "TRD S/C instead of a turbo!!!! Whats more interesting is that at the end of the install they mentions on looking to get a "Intercooler" kit to fit the newly Supercharged tC!!! This should get very interseting within the next few issues! Its now available at your nearest magazine and book store!

Wow!!! The guys at the magazine actually added an aftermarket pulley to their project car? They should know better. Someone better warn them that they better be careful with that thing, the vibrations could become so uncontrollable over time that the entire car could start vibrating so much, especially under boost, that their teeth may actually fall out when they start track testing the car. I actually heard a friend of a friend say that he heard his cousin say he read something about it somewhere on the internet once!

Keeping an eye out for this issue at my barnes and noble

keep in mind... these are also the same people that, during their header install for the tC a few issues ago, had to cut the heat shield to get it off since they didn't know the torx bolt could unscrew from the header

If you look close in the pictures you can see that the lightwieght pulley was swaped out for the stock for the s/c install.

Those magazines are comic really Too bad they sound like 16 year olds on thier first "tuner buildup". But hey, they have girls to take your attention away from that

Yes, the owner was trying to sell it, along with the wheels in the PPC a long time ago.

Holy crap! I didn't even have to that and I'm a very newbie when it comes to this stuff.

search for the info posted by lo bux racer on here or on yoursciontc.com. He came up with some great links including stuff from toyota as well as Dinan. So if you dont know who to believe, those are probably some of the most knowledgeable sources you can find when it comes to engine design. Look them up and make your own opinion rather than going by Advertising ***** magazines or other people that dont know the difference between harmonic vibration issues and "car shaking" vibration issues :D I am at work or I could send you the links, but they are on my home PC. If you remind me I can PM them to you when I am home. Many have stated info from these and other valid links elsewhere, so I wont post them on this thread since it is off topic.
