Default Motor = blown *UPDATE* page 4

Well, everyone knows I was trading in the tC. I was going to sell the turbo kit, but then decided to just trade the car in with it (which is why I told everyone it was sold).

Well...on the way to the dealership....I don't know what happened...we were just cruising down the highway...70 - 75MPH..all of a sudden it kinda jumped and i turned down the radio it was making a weird noise...then it started smoking...

Pulled over...oil everywhere...We haven't pulled the engine yet, but I'm assuming there is a hole in the block somewhere...

So...I got a turbo kit for sale and...oh yeah..anyone know of a good place to buy a used motor?

"got boost?" you should change it to "got motor? cause i need one?" u probably run too much boost and raced too much..motor couldn't take it. soo much for 301whp. u might be good w/ 300

dude man...so ur saying that u haven't floored it..ever since u put the turbo....the reason the motor blown is because maybe u revved to high...many other time....so it decided to blow up when u cruise around 70 dude.. think about it....if you run too hard, then ur gonna break down sooner or later...same w/ car man....the reason it blew is because u rev too hard...and i know u rev hard right?

Sorry to hear about the prob man.

KITS don't blow motors. Tuners do. Simple as that. Too many tuners trying to cut corners and not do things the right way. I see it all the time.

The reason is simple why you are seeing all of the blown motors lately with our kits: We are the highest volume Scion tC turbo system manufacturer.

If you need a motor, try TAPP Recycling in CA.
