keep us posted. I am huge into the tracking to make sure all is well. If for some reason I drop to like 17MPG or something less, I know something is wrong.

I know that the automatic get's a little bit better gas mileage but with 18s, 20-21mpg seems about right.
I'm pretty sure that the sticker on my car said either 19 or 20mpg around town.

I get about that with my manual tC. Seems like the mileage hasn't changed much between the summer 18s and winter 17s. Must be the driver. I started thinking about it the other day and I realized I am almost in a constant state of acceleration, maybe I should use cruise control more often. BTW, I'm no S/c. I think my worst tank was around 18 or 19 mpg. But its a lot better than the Jeep I used to drive 23 gallon tank at 9mpg. I don't want to do that math ever again.

People need to realize that unless the 18"s weigh more, they wont affect gas milage. My 18"s for instance weigh exactly the same as my stock 17"s. And their outside diameter with tires is the same. 18"s make zero difference in gas milage in this case.

Not true even if the 18" wei ghs the same as the 17" rim the mass is pushed out farther out in the rim. This makes it harder to acclerate the wheel. Just like a flywheel. Not sure what the end effect in gas milage is -but I should not be the cause of the low MPG.
