If the turbo is new and the shaft isn't loose and bouncing off the housings, but oil is coming out of it chances are you can correct the problem without even taking the turbo back off the car.

Just got word that everything with the turbo is ok and from what turbochargers.com told me is that this is caused by "blow by", They said I had oil on the compressor side of the turbo too.. Hmm I didn't think blow by would cause that much oil to enter the exhaust side in such a short trip but maybe I don't know. They are cleaning it up for me and sending it back hopefully today.

Well its not good news. According to turbochargers.com my toyota built motor with 16k miles on it witch only maybe 2000 of them have seen boost is shot. They found "metal shavings in the bearings, that are probably from the motor". I was told that the turbo will still leak when they send it back and that I need to do a compression check and leak down on the motor. Well me and
DSM DJ did a compression check and it came out to be around 180psi across the board. So not to start anything but im leaning more to the fact that its the turbo then the fact that my motor is shot or has a problem.
I talked to a few people who sold this turbo And a few who worked in places that sold it and they said they seen a good bit of them returned with blown seals. So I really hope the seals are not blown. I did not see any traces of metal in the oil pan I also pumped the feed line and didn't see any there either. turbochargers.com said they found metal shavings in the bearings im wondering if there was any traces that may lead me to think that the metal is from the bearings?

This is the ZPI turbo kit that turbochargers.com sells on their site. Why deal with the middle man? Why not work with ZPI directly? Just a thought.
Or is turbochargers.com the "supplier" of the EVO III GT Big 16 turbo? Who is in charge of providing customer service?
Sorry to hear you are the official ginea pig for everything that can go wrong on a turbo tC.
