Default My Build List

Okay scionlife people this is the first time I've ever posted my build list. I have been working on this for the last year and im almost finished with my setup, i thought I'd post this to get some feedback from everybody. I never really post but I learned all i know from reading on here so i figured its time to show everyone what I've been doing.

So the short story is after doing a bunch of little mods I finally bought a used kit, turned out it was a china charger (bummer), but what makes it worse is after the whole install I go in for a tune and find my car filled the entire shop with smoke. So the kit I thought was a Garrett (actually said garrett on it) turned out to be a china turbo with blown seals. As for now Im stil running the kit, its only been a month and I only drive it when I have to, Im boosted at 5psi at the moment only making 205whp and 225tq. I have a Garrett t3/t4 hybrid 57 trim going on in 2 weeks so I can finally start going for numbers. But heres whats going on so far.
The kit as of now includes:

Godspeed Manifold
Ebay turbo >.<
Injen intake piping
Hks Super Sequential BOV
Xs sport wastegate
Black FMI
Denzo 550 injectors
turboxs boost controller
tuned with AEM FIC

nothing special but its what I was sold with the kit, not too happy with the deal/kit I got but it was a learning curve.

Heres the kit on my car

Heres the intercooler, its completely hidden since its black BUT the intercooler piping sticks out of the side holes in the bumper which i had to cut to fit it.

Anyways that was a short rundown on my turbo build, let me know what you guys think and any tips or questions since I'm a newbie to posting on here!

Thanks for the welcome party lol but I was worried about getting the kit done, clutch is next on the list after the turbos all sound. Doing a mls head gasket and arp head studs tax season since I have 105k miles just kinda sketching about it blowing just doing it as a precaution.

Im from Harford County Md up in Bel air, but I went to JE import performance. Whatever you do dont got there, first off i needed a new MAF because my somehow broke and when they screwed the new one in they cracked it on the sides so now there are possiblilties for an air leak. Also they told me they didnt want to keep tuning because of the seals so they "wouldnt waste my money" but they barely took anytime to finish the tune they said was "drivable". I am running so god awful rich im misfireing on all for cylinders and gas is seeping into my oil. We changed the oil and just could smell a strong sense of gas in it. I dont have my wideband yet so I cant measure my afrs but its bad. I get all of my work down by a guy who works out of his house in Lancaster, PA. Hes actually going to be doing a street tune for me when he does my new turbo. If everythings good with that Ill run it for a bit and then proly take it down to ptuning to get a dyno tune

Greetings Welcome too Boosted life. The kit is a start but eventually you'll upgrade.
Always make sure the Turbo, waste-gate and blow-off valve are legit because these components make or break a kit and/or engine.
And you live and learn so as MDTc said head to Ptuning. They are tried and trusted Professional shop.

I have the same manifold and I have a 6262 with the S compressor cover (4" inlet, 2.5" outlet, 70ar) and it fits You just have to take a grinder to the back of the clutch slave, and cut off that stupid tab on the motor mount thats essentially pointless. I can take pics if you need help.
