I know what turbo dyno charts look like - and I'm not saying that "superchargers are better than turbos". I'm saying they are both viable forms of forced induction that each have their own set of pros and cons. Like I said, 6 of one, half-dozen of another.

You can discount what I've done, or you can appreciate it. You do appear overly critical about what i've done thus far, and I assure you - there is no reason to be.

I am simply showing that people who have TRD superchargers have options they may not have previously known were there. None of this is "track proven" yet, so just bear with me until I can do so. I would like to do it right and go with a set of drag wheels and radials, but I have to wait until next paycheck since I don't have a company like ZPI giving me free turbos like you do. At least, i hope they are if they are your sponsor.

Wait, I'm not being overly critical or discounting your achievements. I'm just comparing notes. I think what you have done is kick a$$, and I you. Good job man. I would like to see more of the S/C boys make some good #'s. I just like to have a good debate without stepping on each others toes...

My turbo was free yes, but not because it was given to us. ZPI held the first ever Scion ShootOut, and we were in competition with about 8 other N/A'ed cars to which my fiance out drove JerseyMike's (MikeScion now) friend to take home the victory for us (I love her for every last minute of that win....lol). I rep for ZPI, cause I enjoy them as a company, and they are my friends. My dealings with them are of a personal nature than that of a business/client nature.

They are looking to hold another ShootOut next year, maybe you should come...

There is a dyno vid. Ditto on the driving on the street vid...get one of the TAC/Speedo cluster to show acceleration. Kinda like I did in my vid of me doing 60-115mph.

I can probably make that happen.... I'll just need to borrow someone's camcorder. The vid taken at ripp was taken with ripp's in house digicam that records video. My digicam is an SLR, so it doesn't take vids.

I'm sure one of my friends has one though.

This is a rough sketch of what a dyno from our car would look like layed over your car. But as I said though, dyno charts are overrated.

PS....these are not my actual dyno #'s but only a representation of what the dyno chart looks like coming off of our ZPI turbocharged car.

Dark RED = HP
Dark Blue = TQ

over your 311whp chart

Wow i hope you're not blowing smoke up everyone's a$$ because that is an impressive dyno graph. I don't know how you're able to generate that much HP and keep it steady all the way to redline. The torque curve is crazy as well. Most turbo tC usually generate all their torque on the low end of the rpm.

Please start a new thread with your actual dyno graph so we can discuss and ask question there. IceNine has something good going on here so lets not hi jack his thread.

I've been around for some time here on SL now. One thing I don't do is BS people. Thanks for the compliment on the graph by the way..

I did make a thread some time ago by the way. I was just comparing notes as the topic of comparing a 300whp S/C tC to that of what a 300whp T/C tC's graph looks like (at least a ZPI powered one anyway). As someone said, some of the tC cars are linear in power delivery, some others...simply are not.

I'll ask Perry for the details when he gets on AIM. I'm going to assume it was pretty close to redline though

Looking at the dyno chart posted, it looks have a nice smooth linear line reaching Max HP and Max TQ right at Redline. That's generally how the TRD S/C works.

Magic 8-ball says "yes indeed" a 4-2-1 is always going to help torque #'s over a 4-1 like the alphawerks. I won't be surprised in the least bit if you pulled better torque numbers than I did.

Of course, the SC itself hogs a hunk of torque to begin with because of its nature.

Charles said he thought I put down in the 250's for torque, so idk. I should be getting those graphs here soon and I ordered a new Gates belt this weekend so we'll see if I get quicker boost response.
Honestly, I won't do anything but a gates belt at this point. If you have any doubt, take your Gatorback off, get your gates, and compare the two visually. I think the difference will be clear.

You'll say "oh sweet jesus, I should have been using this from the beginning."

Again, I wouldn't doubt for a minute that you put better tq numbers than I did. While my cams might help a bit, there's only so much you can do with a 4-to-1 design.

I won't do a MMW header tho, short of a full sponsorship And I doubt they could afford me
Im using a Gates belt aswell and have had no slipage problems. My last mod was a TurboXS BPV... got it for $60 from a friend, off his 1.8t passat.

Default turbolover

I would like to see IceNice race rhythmsmoke and munch race a stang with a 100mm turbo aganist his new 18psi hairdryer. Rippmods and Dezod are the way to go. When I move up I buy a tc I will buy a turbo from paul Dezod and a tune from rippmods.
