Heck I'd go with 650's if I could find 'em for our cars.

The Turbonetics kit uses that size. Call them.

damn those are nice numbers. $6000 total for performance for approx. 300whp....I'd do that. Only if the 07s had S/Cs...so depressing.

Just to keep things updated - Ordered a set of 580cc injectors from Dietschwerks today - slightly larger than 550 giving me a little more wiggle room.

I did this after some sage-like advice from Dezod to stick with something smaller with 650's because of rough idle issues that most can't get tuned out.

Headed back to Ripp saturday morning. Then they'll be installing the injectors and creating a return if necessary. Then it should be official - the Scion community will have its first 300whp TRD SC'd TC.

300 WHP T/C tC will always beat a 300 WHP S/C tC.

That is only if theres both 2 good drivers.

Ugh. You know what. I gotta address this.

Supercharging and Turbocharging both have a dark side.

Supercharging addresses the major fault Turbochargers have. Turbo lag.

Turbocharging addresses the major fault Superchargers have - some lost torque because you are spending that power to drive the SC.

There's pros and cons to both. And for you to make the conclusion that "a 300whp of one sort is faster than 300whp of another sort" is categorically wrong - especially when you consider that until now there hasn't BEEN a 300whp Supercharged tC

Not turbos vs superchargers... its a Scion that is 300whp on STOCK BLOCK! Eat it!

Here's the thing and why this s/c car could take down almost any turbo with the same amount of power pushing 10 psi - Karl said that he made 10 psi of boost at 4000 rpm, that is insane spool up on the s/c. A turbo might make that at 3000, so were not talking the turbo makes 10 psi of boost instantly while the s/c makes it at 6000 rpm like most think about the s/c on here. The spool up is VERY close to the same. Also, the s/c will eat any turbo out there up on the top end because it NEVER stops making more power until you max out the boost - 19 to 20 psi. A turbo spool time plus constant upward top-end power = one monster of a boosted car.

So nice to see there's someone else who gets it

I have always preferred the way Superchargers deliver power. Even though I think the name is stupid.

Seriously, "Blowers" is too "old school" and "Superchargers" sounds way too much like a marketing term lol

Though I have to admit, K&N's "Filtercharger" just makes me laugh every time I see it haha
