Just out of curiousity are you using the water/meth injection? If so did it make any difference from a power standpoint?
O yea. the water/meth is a great little thing to have...it always helping the turbo spool faster.... i also got a 22whp gain from it when i first put it in.......defly should have it on any FI car.

Here is the timeslip....

Nice 60'!!! Great job... Would you mind sharing your wheel/tire combo with us? Also, what tire pressure you were running at the track.

You knew it wouldn't be long before I seen the thread. Good runs. Another built motor tC in the books. Good job.

I will build next year probably. Not sure, the tC might be taking a back seat to my 350z for a change.

That 60foot is off the chain though...

What clutch are you using? I am about to drop in this 6puck soon, so I can turn it up to 12 PSI for some fun runs. I probably will get a Water/Meth kit and then be done for a while with the tC. 350z is crying for attention.

What PSI were you running on the Tires by the way?

I was set at 20 PSI on them (granted they were on Stock 17 Scion wheels) instead of the 15inch wheels you were running. I would like a set of 15x8 wheels, but I would like to run Slicks on them and not BFG DRs.

are they 15x7 or 15x8 ?

Also can you please tell us the exact Size on your BFG Dragradials and at what PSI did you run it at the track?

Also im alittle confused, what do you mean by "preloading"

thanks.

Preloading means he let the clutch out till it just starts to move the car (this takes up all the slack in the drive train) then pulls up the e-break or uses the regular break (heal toe method) to keep the car from moving.

Do not do this method for more than just a few seconds because you are causing wear to your clutch, but you should (if done properly) have improved 60' times.

how about a 500 ci LS2.....just finished the mounts

Also im alittle confused, what do you mean by "preloading"

Its when you preload your clutch/ driveline. When you go to stage you start to let out the clutch and just as you feel it start to grab stop there and pull your ebrake, so you don't roll forward anymore. When your ready to go , drop the clutch, the ebrake and off you go.

It puts less strain on your clutch/axles/driveline as you are already "preloading" them

i wonder how long 350whp would hold on a properly tuned 2az-fe. (stock engine)

Will keep you posted, so far its been over a month and we have beat the %^&# out of the car. Spent all day with it yesteday at the track.

Well I don't know all the details of his set up ( manifold, tune etc) so I could be off, but I know there is more power there especially with the water/meth. (have seen 355+ with out it on a smaller turbo)

If I could get some more details, basically manifold design etc. I can get more specific.

yes, awesome job especially on radials

you live on Long Island dont you? I would love to check out your car one day man...you should cruise by the dealership...Ive worked at Smithtown Scion here in Suffolk for over 3 years. Definitely would also like to take a ride in that car if you dont mind taking me...hit me up through a PM or AIM if you want...just pm me and I will give you my AIM name...I dont like to put it out on the internet anymore cause you get people asking you the stupidest questions about these cars at the absolute worst times lol.
