I would also suggest if you he hasn't done it is to take the intercooler pipes off and fray the ends out so the silicone grabs better or spray some hairspray on them and then put them back on, that will hold them nice and snug.

This is pretty old, the kit has been on for a good 3 weeks now. Paul Dezod mentioned in another thread (first time I've seen), that triming of the bumper to make the intercooler pipe fit might be necessary. We did not know this until After my friend had the kit already in his hands and on the car. Him and his dad worked on the car, up till the point it came time for the bumper to go back on. He had spent a while (day or two) trying to figure out how to get it back on. Then he called me, I came over, and helped trouble shoot with him (i.e. twisting pipes, loosen couplers, shift pipes..etc) to get the bumper to line back up. None worked, and I had mentioned to him about needing to cut the bumper. He was not going for that, so as a last solution the idea to trim the intercooler piping on the driverside came about, and we got it worked out.

What I thought would be a 10 min job, turned into a 2 hr job. He wanted it perfect, without cutting the bumper.

PS...why is this in this thread?

Either:

a ) You dont drive the car hard
b ) Its a ticking time bomb

Regardless, it will eventually break on you.

* Any update on the car? Hows it running? Did you have it tuned?

whocares5050 your right it will one day and i dont drive it hard like every boost happy kid out there..
1st of all the car is n/a build engine for slight performance and still decent on fuel.
2nd i take my chances rather then ur nulcear melt down.. 14psi.. o yea dont 4get your eng. already produce avg14psi to start.. plus another 14psi and hit by 3k give or take... i promise ur motor goes b4 mine will..

lets just get things all set.. i dont have problems with turbo kits.. but a company who puts pw on there pretune eman.. thats messed up. yea tuners can erase it and start over.. but what would you do if u were that kid and went to a shop that said i cant retune what you have i have to start from scratch.. now the tuning instead of 200 bucks now its starts at 400bucks... what would you do? thats all and then u said your the only 1 with a pw..

and im sorry to jack the thread...

Too bad for that kid. If you boost on a budget, then you shouldnt boost at all.

I have 2 setting. 7 PSI for daily driving, and 14 PSI for track.

I was refering to that " KID " out there as you say that is " BOOST HAPPY " .

Read what i wrote. Do not twist my words. I was saying that " KID " shouldnt boost on a budget. Especially if there boost happy.

... and dont ASSume you know anything about me or my financial status. Because assuming makes you an A$$. I Paid for EVERYTHING in my car. Trust me, I probably make more money in a weekend than you see in a month.
