Default N/A Shake down 1/4 mile passes

So, I wanted to do some shake down passes to sorta get my drag legs back since been doing Road Racing primarily and haven't dragged for nearly a year now.

Car still needs tweaking on the tune, I don't know what it is but it keeps leaning out somewhere around 3000-4500rpms and then after that hits the sweet spot with a 13.1-13.3 A/F ratio and it's like hitting LIFT or something...lol. It's really bad in 2nd gear, so I still have to work on that cause it feels like it's choking in second until it gets to about 5000rpms, and literally feels like I just hit LIFT/VTEC.

Anyhow, I got 3 damn runs before it started to rain in KY. Ticked me off, cause I was on my way to a 14sec 1/4 mile run. My best time was with me missing 2nd gear.

Mods:
Stock Header
Stock Intake
2.5 inch full exhaust
E-Ultimate with WOT street tune
Weight Reduction
Street Tires

R/T................. .313
60'................. 2.240
330................ 6.446
1/8................ 9.810
MPH.............. 72.54
1000.............. 12.731
1/4................ 15.172
MPH.............. 92.61

Coolest thing is that I got to weigh my car. My tC officially weighs 2550lbs by itself and 2770lbs with my stocky butt in it. I still have another 60-100lbs to shed from the car and about 40lbs to shed from myself...LOL (trying to get down to 180lbs).

I can see high 14's now as is with a few more passes to find my launch spot, cause if I launch to low then when I get into 2nd I will hit the lean spot and it's costing me 4 mph (making me run an 88mph trap speed). On the 92mph trap speed above as mentioned, that's with me missing 2nd gear. So, I got to remedy this lean spot and then make a clean pass and it should be a 14sec 1/4 mile pass. Damn! Wish it didn't rain us out tonight.

As a side note, when I drop the turbo back in, I'm looking for that stock motor 11sec 1/4 mile pass.

Alignment was setup for Road Racing with a -1.8 degrees of Negative camber up front. I took the wing off of course, but left the splitter on the front (didn't feel like taking it off).

I don't recall the Humidity for last night, but temps were around the 89 degree mark so I assume Humidity was up there as well.

I was surprised at the weight. Still a bit heavy in my opinion, but nonetheless good savings so far from stock. It's going to shed another 60-100lbs.

- Doors are stock 30lbs off each door can be had.
- Roof is 40lbs saved when replaced with the Carbon Fiber roof (eventually getting that after going back on boost)
- Hatch is stock still will replace with Carbon Fiber hatch (not sure on savings)

If I don't break the 11sec 1/4 mile run with a stock motor, then I'll do the Girlfriend mod since she weighs 100lbs lighter than I do and knows how to drag race....LOL. But I'm changing gyms myself to get into Crossfit training and to get back on my Martial Arts training. Taking off 3 years to have a family is wonderful, but it also puts on the lbs when your woman is pregnant and eats and wants you to eat with her. Imagine having to do that twice...lol. It's a good thing my body won't go past 230lbs. 180-200lbs I'm solid and back down to Competition (Martial Arts) weight.

Decent times for a heavier N/A car. Compared to something like an older EG civic which weighed in at 2060 with full interior.

I've ran 15.1 with more weight in the car though and just on a stock ECU. So, I know it's got 14's in it, just got to get some more drag track seat time and find my sweet spot and make a clean pass. I felt it coming, but damn the rain started to sprinkle... and then they called it and closed it down. Trying to get some practice in before Scion Exposed, which has 3 events for you participate in where you select 2 of the 3. Drag, AutoX, and Oval Track. I'm registered to do Drag and AutoX, Oval...they are limiting your speed so what's the point in that one. When I get to Exposed it will be another 60lbs lighter probably cause I'm going to go ahead and do the doors.

I was set to about 25 psi on my daily drivers which are Hankooks. At Exposed, I plan to have a fresh set of Drag Radials.

get rid of those street tires, that's worth several good 10th's. I went from a 12.80 to 12.10 from just changing from street tires to drag radials.

Yea I know I will with the DRs on, but I want to know I can do it on street tires...hehee. Need a good non-humid day, tweak the tune, and stay using the right lane where I have the best luck....lol

Fixed the LEAN issue. Opened up the Injector map and realized there were values in that RPM range that were causing the injectors to spray less fuel. Zero'ed it out and everything is good. I'll take it back to the track to see if I can run 14's on my dd tires.
