N20 & Boost .... bad combo? Who's running it?

I'm at 10psi now. I really don't wana boost much higher because I'm not sure what the stock block can handle especially since its my DD. So I figured this would be the best route to go without having to alter the block/head. Also the bottle will add a nice touch for shows. Lol

Sorry bro, that does not sound logical. You are concerned about the additional boost but you want to turn down to 8 and throw Nitrous on it? LOL...sounds a little backwards to me. If anything, an additional 2-3 psi of boost is "safer" than going to 8 and adding what a 25 shot? You want to spend $500 on a nitrous setup rather than $50 bucks on a boost controller (or $0 if you already have one), and just re-tune the car which shouldn't take long to do for just a couple more lbs of boost.
Variables from nitrous...hmm..
- Nitrous Back fire
- Spray pattern nozzle
- Bottle temps will produce varying pressures (optimal to have a bottle warmer)
If you REALLY want Nitrous and have that show aspect of it, I would buy the Nitrous setup, and use it as an FMIC sprayer. You can effectively gain 20+whp (give or take) spraying the intercooler with a shot of N20, especially when it's heat soaked from hot temps in the summer. That would be about the only reason I would find to put spray on an already boosted motor that's on stock internals.
PS....people run 12lbs of boost up to 14lbs on stock internals. I've ran 12lbs myself for quite some time using a stock motor.

So where can I get the best tune possible. I don't mind driving a bit. I'll make a road trip out of it lol. I don't wana cheapen out on my DD. Here's my setup.
Dezod S1 turbo kit
50 trim turbo
AEM FIC

True that. I bought my profec b spec II boost controller for 250 and added the remote switching system to it for another 100 so i can have a scramble feature at the touch of a wireless button on my steering wheel. That pretty much gives the nitrous feel when you hit the switch

travis has the idea..but one idea i had was to add nitrous coupled with a huge turbo. activate nitrous early on to offset the turbo lag. once turbo nearly reaches full spool shut nitrous down or divert it to a spray bar. This could be done automaticlly via aem fic. however i wouldnt suggest a novice try this.
depending on your turbo size you could potentially run 14psi but a self tunning novice should really stay at 8psi till they learn enough imho. If professonally tuned i would talk to your tuner and see what they think about raising boost.

I dont know why you guys dislike it... But I have the truboost, which you can get for like $200-250 and it works perfect for me. It has two settings on the unit, plus a scramble boost function which you can wire to an external push button
