N20 & Boost .... bad combo? Who's running it?

lol...if you look carefully you will see a little hole on the gauge face, its at the top center of the gauge. thats the photo sensor, that makes the gauge dim in dark light and brightens up in bright light. you can take the face off and cover that photo sensor with a small piece of electrical tape...viola

Hell yeah spay the ____ out of it. It won't hurt it if done. Right. If your looking for more power leave the boost were it is and spray it son I have a few boosted buddys that are spraying to and they love it keeps the knock down in the summer and lots of tq. Nos ftw
I want it brighter lol

Haha as far as I remember, the amount of light entering the photoelectric sensor just changes its resistance. I could take the gauge apart and find out what the output voltage is when it sees extremely bright light, than add an appropriate resistor

iv bypassed many photocells in my day but not tiny little things like this. I dont think you would need a resister unless your gonna do something other than what i was thinking.
anyways a photo cell in simple terms is a switch.

travis has the idea..but one idea i had was to add nitrous coupled with a huge turbo. activate nitrous early on to offset the turbo lag. once turbo nearly reaches full spool shut nitrous down or divert it to a spray bar. This could be done automaticlly via aem fic. however i wouldnt suggest a novice try this.
depending on your turbo size you could potentially run 14psi but a self tunning novice should really stay at 8psi till they learn enough imho. If professonally tuned i would talk to your tuner and see what they think about raising boost.

Yeah that would be the second situation in which I would run both. Since the op is on a stock motor at 10lbs I didn't bother mentioning that one. But yeah for sure, if I was running like a GT42R and wanted to spool it better on the low end, I'd use Nitrous on a built motor and high boost.
