Default N2MB WOT box problems

well i decided to go ahead and purchase this seeing how everyone was very pleased with it...so i only wanted it for the 2-step feature. i have it, i installed it, i checked my double checks to make sure all wires were connected to where they belong....
i had to purchase a serial to USB adapter because i was not getting a clutch signal when you are initially supposed to program it with the LED light on the box. now i hook up to my laptop and i'm able to change settings but when i try to upload it to the box, i keep getting failed messages...also its very inconsistant with staying connected to my laptop whenever i do manage to get it connected....
i just wanted to know who ever has one......have you had any problems with this?? at all?? any help in the right direction would be helpful as my search for problem topics turned up negative

I have one. Connecting to the laptop at first is sometimes difficult. Did yours not come with a usb connector? What failed messages are you getting? did you try flashing the wot box and uploading version 3.1 or 3.2?

it came with a usb cable but it wasn't working so i was told that the cable i had was not compatable with my windows vista 64bit because before i could not even connect at all. the box did come with the latest 3.2 software and when i do finally manage to connect to the box and change everything to the settigns i need and then try to upload those settings to the box, i get an error message, i think it says...failed to communicate with the box or something like that.....?
