Default Need GOOD Reasons for TRD S/C

Hey guys I need a reallly big favor .. my parents are being really nice this Christmas and supposedly getting my a new TRD s/c for my tC .. But, today my mom called me and asked me what is does differently and why I needed or wanted it. I tried explaining it to her about the 200 HP and 184 lb ft. tq but to no avail. and I didnt realy have any reasons at the time , as to why I wanted besides me just wanting it.... So I need you alls help in coming up with some pretty cool reasons why people need or use their s/c's besides to gain speed... like some selling responses like cause a. it looks cool.. or b. it increases whatever to whatever which is good for the car. you all know..selling points for parents wanting to do somethin nice for thier kid but are kinda optimistic and need a little push.. thanks for all the help

basically there is nothing good that it does other than add minimal power at best haha!

it doesnt prolong the life of your motor or improve gas mileage if you were trying to sell her an intake

idk i cant think of anything!

Your better off telling them to get you a dezod kit because it looks shiny, i have the s/c and if i had a choice i wouldn't have bought it in the first place.

turbo>sc

for the money u spend on the supercharger with the minimal gains it gets its pointless. unless u jus dont wanna end ur warranty then thats a different story

your 22 and you call yourself a kid, and your parents are buying you a supercharger for your car? sheesh, hahaha.

anyway, no there are no selling points that make the supercharger appealing to parents, no responsible parents want to make their childs car faster and there for more dangerous.

the only other selling point you could really give them is that it makes merging on the highway easier because the car has more power to maneuver into traffic.

but if your parents don't to buy it for you, why don't you write a letter to santa claus, and if you've been good, he'll wrap one up for you.

You could do sort of a spin off on tying in "Keeping the Warranty" on the car into why it's a good thing to go S/C'er. If you are good at BSing, then you can drum up something along the lines of improving air flow efficiency within the motor, and how this is the safest way of doing it because Toyota endorses the S/C'er and will provide you with warranty (even though its a bit flaky).

I still think you'd be WAY better off with a low boosting turbo kit like a Greddy or something. Spending that much money to gain about 30hp and a buttload of problems seems strange to me.

Especially when kids in Civic Si's and mild mods will still likely hand it to you...
