i think a few people have mentioned it already but Im willing to bet it has a lot to do with how the pulley is shimmed. In the s/c kit, they include the necessary shims for the pulley to align everything properly. If things arent lined up you can experience belt shread, or the auto tensioner will never properly do its job and the belt gets to loose since things arent aligned properly. I think they include around 4 different spacing shims in the kit.

he was using the underdrive pulley with the S/C.... You can't use that one. You can only use it on N/A and Turbo cars. The one for the S/C is the CR-Lite Crank pulley. I think that is the issue. But the thread was brought back from the dead BTW...

ohh wow, I didnt even realize he was using the underdriven crank pulley. Didnt he realize he was losing boost with that on? Thats pretty bad to not know he bought the wrong pulley. It's people like this that are uneducated in mechanic skills and movies like the fast and furriest lol get people to jump on the tuning bandwagon without knowing what the hell they are doing to the car.
