go to your local toyota dealership and say you need a tube of toyota black oil pan sealant. it's not a gasket.

I used High Temp Red RTV Silicone Gasket Maker that I purchased from Advance Auto, but hitting up the dealership seems like a can't lose move.

iv used red rtv, black rtv, toyota black crap, it all worked. I have yet to have an oil pan not seal with any of these.

just make sure the mateing surfaces are clean of old sealant and oil, oil pan is not bent to hell, also the bolts are tq down to proper specs. you should have no issues.

How difficult is it to remove the oil pan? I have a tapped one coming home for my turbo setup. Last time with my Turbonetics setup, I tapped the hole myself and didnt bother removing the oil pan.

it's a pain for sure. a friend of my gouged my block pulling it off so just make sure you get the sealant good and hot.

Blow torch. Use some razor blades to cut away any sealant and to separate the pan from the block as well as you can then heat the edges really well and use a flat head screw driver to pry all around.

It's probably the hardest part of installing a turbo kit haha.

Might be a dumb question but the blow torch wont cause a fire will it?

The bes way is a paint chipper right in the front and a hammer. Worked like a charm for me.

All those sealants work I prefer RTV copper since it's at my local pep boys and autozone. Properly installing it is what matters when it comes to if it leaks or not.
