K1 Rods, CP or Wiseco 9.0:1 pistons, Clevite bearings, ARP studs, Cometic head gasket, walbro fuel pump, 700-800cc injectors, Some kind of management other than the emanage blue to be safe lol, a GOOD tune and u should net 400 whp with 18 lbs.

what i just wrote is exactly my build basically lol and im aiming for 400 whp at 18 lbs but i also have larger valves in the head.. 60-1 is a nice turbo and will get u there with less cost than buying a gt30 or 35.

im using a masterpower 60-1 i got it NEW for 650 lol.. and its a beast.

Damn that's a lot haha. I wont be able to turbo for a while then! How much would the engine stuff run? I can do the Engine stuff now when I get my income tax haha. Hopefully my half blown motor lasts till my built motor is complete!

Hey there's nothing wrong with K1H-Beam rods right? I saw that manley's are rated for 1000+ HP and i'm not looking for THAT much power haha.

K1 are good for drop in a go will hold 600whp... The manleys will not make 1000hp but will hold it, which means, if you make a boo boo with your tune, the rods should hold up to the beating... For the extra couple dollars I said do it, if you wanna stick with k1 they are good as well.

Okay so... the build that I had in mind originally is too street and expensive LOL.

So i'm just going mild and safe. Looking for 300-320 whp, max out at 10 PSI + reliability.

Bearings, Studs, Head Gasket etc.

(Would I even need rods and pistons for this build)

So pretty much just a new block.. bearings, studs, a new headgasket and i'm good to go? (+turbo)lol.

How often to turbos spike? Anything to play it safe?

The engine isn't out of the car, but right now my compression dropped to 80 across every cylinder. It might be a bad case of blowby or a another case of failed piston rings. I believe either way an engine has to come in and out lol. Not sure if my cylinder walls are scored badly, but when I had my supercharger on (Saturday), I felt no boost.

Sucky situation... If you have scored cylinder walls or burnt piston, you might as well go for a piston designed for turbo applications meaning the compression rings are seated lower on the piston and you can keep the same 9.5-1 compression ratio...

Yeah.. I figured i'd have to get pistons regardless. But as for valves and rods and such, I believe i can stay stock with those. So pretty much either way, I need a new block. Lol.

Then I can replace the bearings and such to make it a little bit more golden.
