This was a 85% complete street tune that we had been chiseling away on for sometime.

Our next projected date for 10 PSI is 2-3 weeks (work load permitting)

Not expecting, not at all. She was EXACTLY what I expected.

^ thats good news then. perfect. now what are your views in the engine longevity from an 8ish LB tune compared to a 10lb? Since your new setup is more of "so called" stand-a-lone/piggyback - maybe the tune quality will be higher ...allowing for more boost at a safe level due to the quality of the device? Or am i just talking out of my #2?

What fear prevents them from openly acknowledging that they can tune the stock ecu? If its a fear of law suit over suspected reverse engineering, there have been ways around that. If toyota is that petty that they would deny their customers access to the same types of aftermarket products that customers of other marks enjoy; then i think this tC will be my first and last toyota. Especially given the transmission and interior build issues i have experienced. Even after the transmission change the problems still remain. I just spent the last 6 months trying to get them to replace it, now i have been told that i must contact the field rep again if i want it looked at for resolution. I dont even race this car. I was very interested in a dezod S1 kit and this new piggy back unit, now i wonder if this car will even hold up to basic spirited driving as it seems everything is rattling and falling apart.

Well the car has been daily driven for the past 4 weeks with over 1000 miles on it and has been an utter champ! So now, we will be adding more boost and retuning.

Hopefully starting this weekend. Depends on the vehicle owner's schedule really. He has been VERY busy lately ever since we put his Kami CF hood on this car.

Ha - well please post up if you go this weekend. I really want to know what he 10lb numbers are. Can you post the dyno? Is there anybody in your area that can dyno their car next to yours? I know its not the same car but seeing two dynos overlaid might show a big consistant gain somewhere in the graph.

Wait for the New Unit. It really is the best available option. It utilizes everything you already have and is very user friendly.

If you must have a standalone I would run the AEM as there is far better support, much friendlier software, plug and play capabilities and free updates for life on the software and hardware.
