Cool! So you've found a way to directly interface with the ecu rather than the typical piggyback method? That sounds great. When you say "preprogrammed" I assume that means "vehicle specific" but can the map be reprogrammed if needed? How about by the end user?

Sorry if I missed it but can you give a ballpark cost for the EMU and PnP harness? How about a time frame for a XB2 version? Thanks.

Yes it works inline with the stock ECU. The fuel and spark maps can be modified as needed by anyone just like on any engine management.

No estimated cost yet. xB2 will be dependent on if we can get the connectors or not.

There is more than just connectors needed to make a harness. Pins, tooling etc are needed as well. Sometimes even special crimp tools like Motec requires..........

Sounds great to me, I want one but... will I be able to purchase the EMU w/o the TC harness and use it on my XB2 or will this be strictly limited to the TC until you make an XB2 version?

Thanks again.

The unit will be designed to be plug-n-play so there will be no harness

I hate to be a pest but I need to decide soon whether to wait for your EMU or get a FIC now. I can't wait indefinitely for a XB2 version. So where does your EMU plug into and will it plug into the XB2? If it won't plug in directly, can I splice it in? Thanks again.

the EMU itself will function like a harness, cuz it is in series with the ECU.

I would not be able to wait, and I'm perfectly happy with my f/ic...as long as you can find a good tuner...

Thats the thing - i wish they could come out with two maps standard - one for maybe 8lbs and one for 12lbs. That should hit MOST of the market and be great for people with a stock engine and those with a light build.

I have 1 tune and a boost controller...if it's tuned good for 12 lbs, then it should run well at 8lbs as well...

actually for that goal you only need 1 map.. a map that is tuned well starting 8 psi up to 12psi.. then let the boost controller do the job..

Swaying to and fro.

Anyway, to answer some of these questions that have arisen in this thread. If, for example all you want to do is have different maps for different boost levels, that's fairly easy with this unit! Because this system uses the MAF, you can run 10 different boost levels on this one map because it's all based off relative cylinder pressure and metered air. Same theory applies to a pressure sensor equipped GReddy E-mangle for that matter. I have plenty of cars with 2 and 3 boost levels on one map with the e-manage or FIC.

The only time that gets a little tricky is when you have a map for pump gas and a map for race gas. Because the ignition tables and fuel tables may be so much more different, that can be the only time I see the need to run another map all together.
