lol well yea its the bearings....ima goin to check it out right now, my friend said the balance shaft was all fuked up and bearings were shot to hell, the teeth on the shaft were all grinded up....then it got the pulley stuck to the crank, so they almost didnt warranty it, but the person from toyota authorized the warranty....i soo lucked out on this!!

i think ima lookin into removing the balance shaft...any ideas?

also how the *** did this all happen??? wat caused it? cuz im lost and so is the tech and my friend... they sayin i missed a shift?? thats not how i drivelol maybe the stage 3 clutch has somethin to do with it? i need ideas cuz i dont need this to happen again, cuz then its out of pocket...

CUZ OUR BEARINGS SUCK MONKEY *****!!! I FRIGGIN HATE TOYOTA RIGHT NOW!!! JUST CUZ YOU KNOW SOME PEOPLE YOU GET YOUR CRAP WARRANTIED FOR THE SAME THING THAT BLEW MY MOTOR AND COST ME A SEMESTER OF FRIGGIN COLLEGE!!! AGH!! THIS IS THE WORST EXPERIENCE I'VE HAD WITH A CAR!!! (But I still love Carmen- My car's name )

On a happy note: Our bearings have been known to go bad but Scion is either oblivious to the occurences or refusing to acknowlege the problem and fix it. I believe its from bearings that had slight clearance issues and over time just wore away till you heard that clunk sound which is when one or however many finally totally digested and then your rod started slapping around on your crank.

If anything were to go on this from a stage 3 clutch it would be your tranny but im telling you now it was your bearing clearances and its not uncommon for when our motors blow for these to be the culprit. If you don't want this to happen again order some bearings but personally I doubt you'd get another bad batch of bad bearings.

As far as removing your balance shaft I'm only aware of ZPI having a removal kit that was in the works so It may not even be available for purchase yet you would have to contact them...

P.S. I'm in no way shape or form mad at you because you were lucky enough to have your engine covered under warranty, I know my first paragraph could have been taken that way but don't. Its not you I'm mad at its just further showing Toyota's BS. If anything I'm jealous of you haha, and I'm glad to hear that you don't have to crap out a ton of money like I did just to get your brand new car back on the road So enjoy your new motor
