What does this have to do with forced induction?

This is the Forced Induction section, we don't have CAI here.

That's not a CAI, it's convenient for the kit . There is no such thing as 'cold air' when it gets heated from compression.

still cold air imo, the colder air on the filter inlet the colder the air charge after compression.. but due to intercooler, the need for it becomes less significant

and oh IBTL lol

Well it's the only location for the filter on that kit, as opposed to all other kits which use ram air. Regardless, my IAT is usually around 38-45, 10-20ş warmer than outside air. No clue what the temp is going into the motor lol.

If you notice the ptuning time attack car, i think it has vents on the plastic liner on the wheel well, i think they designed that for more air flow on the intake location while putting having the filter located to a more isolated area of the engine bay from heat.. i ran a cold air on my setup too before, same location as CAI filter.. my inlet temp is very close to outside temp most of the time, except on stops or long idle

I think it's just out of convenience lol. Keep it short and simple, shorter pipe with less welds/bends = lower cost = happier customer.

In relevance to this thread....come on Ace, it's a bit of a stretch to try and call the PTuning kit as having a CAI in the traditional sense of the acronym. If we had to put a label on the PTuning filter location....I would have to call it......well..."Baller"....lol.

And we all know this thread does not belong here.
