Default New Standards to the Dezod S1? (poll)

We here at Dezod are always pushing the envelope to out do ourselves from the day before. With that in mind, we are considering offering this kit as a standard with a Ball Bearing turbo instead of a bushing turbo? The end result would raise the overall price of the S1 approx $350 overall due to contract we would sign that would allow us to buy the turbos a tad cheaper, but over larger volumes. We want your feedback!!! Discuss

I think ball-bearing would be a great thing.. as an option.

Most people are always looking for the lowest price. It's basic consumer behavior. Most people probably can't justify the extra $350 - $400 for a 500rpm quicker spool. If my T'netics kit was offered with a standard bearing for $500 less, I wouldn't purchased that one.

Now if you're referring to ball-bearing turbos as GT turbos, that's different.

Keep it as an option. Like Rob said, people are looking for the cheapest option possible. Bump the price and people will start turning to Turbonetics.

Just emphasize it in the description, and explain how it could potentially benefit the user.

im wondering why i was told by ppl on SL ball bearing doesnt do anything for auto and would be a waste of money. if the turbo spools faster it would be just as beneficial to me as a manual.

Ball bearing turbos sound cool, but offer very little performance over the standard. T3s spool up so fast that you don't really notice the difference. On a GT30/GT35 you may see a difference of 400-500 rpms.

I seriously doubt cory gets 8psi by 2500rpm on half throttle.

Take what was posted with a grain of salt. I can imagine 8psi by 2500 rpm on half throttle if he had atleast a 3.0L motor.. or he was in 5th gear .

?? What is that showing us again? You rowing through three gears?

And it seems like you were on pace with that pick-up truck.. lol.

You should get a vid of boost gauge and tach - and do some WOT pulls at low rpm and 3rd gear.. that's the only way to tell - that and being on a dyno.

So the consensus seems to be that we should keep the system as is. Am I understanding this right?
