Default Next Gauge...

Ok so i now have a 3 pod pillar. Looking to ninstall this weekend with a new guage. I can decide which one though...

I have an auto, so a trans temp seems like a good idea. But so does oil temp or press, and an EGT

currently have A/F and boost/Vac

oil pressure gauge will be the 3rd or an EGT gauge..

my rule of thumb is wideband a/f, Vac/boost, digital (NOT mechanical) Oil pressure. Being auto i would add in a trans temp gauge w/ an ATF cooler.

Usually this is incorporated into the FPR when you upgrade the fuel system.

for unmodified fuel system, no need for fuel pressure imo.. stock fuel system is dead reliable and would rarely leak unless you have a faulty injector installation.

Yeah thats the plan... in the end

I'm kinda stuck on the EGT or trans temp. I just dont want to drill another hole in my exhaust for EGt, though I know it will help with tuning... And the trans temp seems like a good idea, especially with a long trip coming up in a week or so.

I do have a secondary ATF cooler installed.

If you had an xA/ xB I'd say water temperature since we don't have a proper gauge, only the idiot light. Oil pressure should be your third if you're planning on running a turbo. It will pick up if you've got a blown seal on the turbo or leak in the feed before the pan is empty, letting you shut down before your engine gets ate.

Trans. temp. would be my vote for #4.

Went with the trans temp. Its the thing i'm worried abotu going first, especially since the motor seems fine. i will be adding an oil pressure over the summer, since I've hit the upper limit of my fun budget for the spring.

Time to get a job...

I'll let you guys now how the install goes. Should actually be pretty easy If I'm thining right...
