NGK 2 steps colder Plugs?

They are not universal & if they are two steps colder, they would be gapped at .032 "tc should be at .040-.044" unless the part number has a -11 at the end. In that case, they would be drop in for someone running more than 10 psi.

yeah they are gapped to tight for normal use. When running iridium I do not recommend anything under a .040 anyways unless your running +18 psi.
You will have to use a feeler gauge set to gap them as well, a slide gapping tool will damage them.

If your running iridium plugs you want a wider gap for a better burn, a tighter gap will not under any way shape or form burn fuel better at higher RPM unless you are experiencing spark blow out which happens more on boosted cars. Iridium generally cures this issue as it is a fine wire electrode.
If your running old 1.1mm crap nickle tip plugs "so called copper plugs" then a tighter gap can somtimes make an improvement, especially under boost & higher RPM

So step 1 is recommended for 8-10 psi? .040- 0.044 would be the recommended gap? I've been ordering step 2, i might get new ones soon since i've been running a lil rich doing some practice tuning..
