the best way to prevent any leak is to take off your fuel rail and take it to a machine shop and have them drill the other end where the pulsation dampener is and tap it for what ever thread you wish. Other than that you need to cut your fuel line and get a T barb rated for gasoline use and clamp it in somewhere between the hardline and the fuel rail. Or you could cut the hard line and get the needed fittings, flare the ends and use a double flare fitting tee if you want to use a hard line (not the best option if you havenot done it before). If you mess up the hard line i am sure it cost an arm and a leg from toyota and it is a b!tch to change.

just get a new section of fuel line, install a t-fitting in it, then replace it with the old one. thats what i did. theres a section of fuel line thats only about 20" long or so under the hood that is real easy to work with.

Between $300 and $600 depending on the extras you have.

just tap the fuel rail 5/16 npt. in the last flat just over the #1 injector at the passager side of the rail thats what i did and haven't had any problems. (note) fuel rail has to come out because the fuel rail has to be cleaned when done.

If you have a wet kit you must tap the fuel line. I have the ZEX wet kit. I just chopped the stock one in half with some tin snips. Its not metal like you think its a plastic tube. I just got a fuel line rubber hose about 6 to 8 inches cut it in half put the t-fitting where i cut the hose, and hooked the hose to the existing fuel line. One thing you have to do before inserting the stock fuel line in the rubber hose you have to cut back the rubber around the stock fuel line then slide it in all the way till you hit the fitting then just use hose clamps to seal the deal you need 4 clamps. When i do the uninstall I just have to remove the t-fitting run the stock hose through the rubber hose then clamp it then its all back to normal.
