TRD only got distribution rights. I hope as part of the deal TRD will have sell the stand alone LSD to the general consumer. And I hope the LSD will be available as a dealer installed option only, not standard equipment.

i doubt they will make it standared on an 08 model unless they up the HP because the 160hp stock car does not need it.

Its possible if they have any left in stock, which I dont think many if any did. Id contact the company you're looking to purchase them from just to verify they actually have some instock.

chances are they're lazy and havent taken off the listings. most online store owners have very out-of-date inventory.

It won't be a standard part for the car, because TRD is a separate entity from Toyota. Most TRD parts are made by someone else, and just DISTRIBUTED by TRD, which means they slap their name on it, and warranty it through the dealership.

Besides, that part is too expensive to debut on the car, because the price increase from year-to-year would be too severe.

All that is true exept for the Japanese TRD, they do develop and seel their own products.

Just got this e-mail from TRD:

Thank you for your interest in TRD. The LSD will be available in limited quantity by the end of September. The next batch will arrive around the middle of November. PLease check with your local Toyota dealer for pricing and availability. Part number is PTR39-21070.
I'm glad it will be sold to current LSD-less tC owners. I wonder if dealers are willing to install aftermarket flywheels, clutches, and the LSD all at once.

I do think it can be mounted in the dealer. But the real question would be: Would this cost me both my eyeballs and part of my left nut?

can anybody find out the MSRP on it. that way we have a clue of what the price is going to be. Also - does that mean trdspraks and mcgeorgeparts will have it in stock?

That video was for Quafie to make an LSD... begging them perhaps.. I have yet to see ZPI with a Quafie installed... otherwise I think they would have reviewd it already.

I have a quaife LSD in my tC and it works just like they said it should.

And you don't realize how much a quaife LSD affects a stock tC until you ride in a tC with one.
