Lightweight wheels, sticky tires, headwork, lightweight flywheel, pulleys, short throw shifter, Ingalls ETD, all of these would help make the car quicker and could be used in conjunction with a turbo later on.

The head and rods deff will need to get done .... you prob would wanna get diff pistons if you are going that far. That will be a good internal start if you want to perpare for future turbo usage. That will allow you to hit your above 300whp mark w/o a question. But you deff will need a new clutch pretty fast with over 250whp. If you are doing the clutch why not do the flywheel ...and maybe an LSD - it all depends where you want to begin. Just do things in stages with groups of parts.

They should have inclueded a semi decent LSD from factory, even if the price was bumped about $500-$800. We wouldn't have to be buying this LSD + Tires. Maybe this is just a dream :D

Well, not everyone is going to benefit from an LSD. Only people TRULY interested in performance are going to make use of the difference and price was job #1 for Toyota on the tC. When they were looking for places to keep the price down, I bet an LSD was one of the first things on the chopping block. When we get compared to an Si right now, we can say "yeah, but ours is still cheaper!" :D

well, in preperation for my custom turbo setup, i'm doing four things. These four items will cost me in the short term, but long term they're definately a necessity. The following items are needed before even considering a turbo:
LSD
stronger clutch
lighter flywheel
torque dampner i.e. ingalls stiffy
~OR~
urthane engine mounts
The last two items are up in the air depending upon how much vibration you want. Additionally, the engine mounts have only been out for a few weeks. Therefore, I'm not too sure which is better as of yet.
